WHICH WELLNESS SERVICE IS RIGHT FOR ME?

Each offered service and experience is unique to the individual receiving it, but here are some basic guidelines you can use to decide which one is right for you.

CHIKARA NO IDO (力の井戸): Best option for individuals who feel at odds with their bodies or have experienced a trauma that manifests in a physical manner. Typical symptoms include lethargy, disassociation, depression, a sense of being ungrounded or disconnected, and pain with no diagnosable cause.

SHAMANIC HEALING: Best option for individuals who feel lost—especially after or during a traumatic experience or stressful period. Typical symptoms include a disinterest in previous passions, low energy, depression, anxiety, disassociation, feeling incomplete, or having the desire to find oneself through spiritual practices.

NOTE: Shamanic healing may be the better choice for individuals with strong trigger responses to physical contact.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY FIRST TREATMENT?

The most important thing to do to prepare for a treatment is keep an open mind and a receptive heart. Many of the experiences you have won't fit within the norm of modern medicine's basic practices. I won't push medications on you, nor will I ever advise against continuing important visits and practices recommended by your primary doctor. However, entering into the empowering practice of ancient medicine and ceremony can be a transformative experience that excites and invigorates, potentially leading you back to your life and dreams.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM MY FIRST SESSION?

Depending on the method selected, it's likely you'll experience drumming, insense, and physical contact in locations similar to what you may have experienced while getting a massage from a therapist. Chikara no ido is a hands-on method that focuses on various points (wells) in the body as energy flows through them along meridians. Many of the shamanic techniques involve the recovery or extraction of non-physical items that may result in mild physical contact (e.g., placing hands on your back and gently blowing a symbolic object into your being).

Death Doula

DO YOU TREAT TERMINAL OR CHRONIC ILLNESSES?

No. While working with me may decrease the severity of some symptoms you experience, the methods I practice are not meant to replace any treatment prescribed by a doctor, nor are they intended to cure any health problems. They are designed to benefit and improve aspects of your life according to receptivity, sensitivity, and the work done outside of our sessions. If you or a loved one suffer from a terminal illness and wish for help preparing for your transition, I do offer end-of-life services as a death doula upon special request.

Shamanic wedding

DO YOU PERFORM SHAMANIC WEDDING OR COMING-OF-AGE CEREMONIES?

Absolutely! There are few ceremonies I enjoy more than weddings or those surrounding a transition in life. With such important and memorable events, it's a beautiful opportunity to experience personalized ceremonies that you can draw on for strength, comfort, or even just remember fondly as you journey through life. Weddings and coming-of-age ceremonies are collaborative and steeped in ancient practices. Together, we can discover what will most resonate for you and will lead to a positive and wholesome experience.
